Dr. Justin Martindale - President & Chief Medical Officer
PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS, FAAOMPT
Dr. Martindale founded Promotion Physical Therapy in 2005. He currently operates as the Chief Medical Officer and possesses over 20 years of experience in orthopaedic manual physical therapy. He is board certified in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy and he successfully completed a three-year fellowship program to become a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists.
Dr. Autumn Martens, Vice President of Clinical Development
PT, DPT, FAAOMPT
Dr. Martens was born and raised in Northern California. A President's Scholar, she graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor of Science in Biology specializing in Human Physiology. Dr. Martens continued her education at the University of Delaware where she completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2011. Her clinical rotation at Walter Reed Army Medical in Washington DC is where she developed her love for working with patients who have had an amputation. In 2015, Dr. Martens completed a three-year fellowship program for Orthopedic and Manual Physical Therapy, receiving the title of Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy. A perpetual student, she is currently furthering her education by pursuing her Doctor of Science in Physical Therapy at Texas Tech University Health Science Center.
Dr. Ashley Medrano, Clinical Director
PT, DPT, FAAOMPT, Cert. DN
Dr. Medrano was born in Walled Lake, Michigan and attended Bowling Green State University where she was a member of their diving team. She graduated with her Bachelor's in Applied Health Science from Bowling Green State University and then went on to get her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2012. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy and certified in dry needling. She is now a Fellow Mentor for The Manual Therapy Institute, where she supervises candidates for Fellowship as they advance into the clinic to apply real work practice. She has been treating for almost a decade in South Texas in outpatient orthopedics and has a passion for sports rehabilitation. She has been married to her husband, David for 2 years and they have a wonderful daughter Zoey.
Dr. Danielle Suarez, Clinical Director
PT, DPT, FAAOMPT, Cert. DN
Dr. Suarez calls San Antonio home. She studied her undergrad at the University of Incarnate Word and earned a degree in Rehabilitative Science. She received her Doctorate from Texas Woman's University in Dallas in May 2017.
Dr. Justin Papke, Clinical Director
PT, DPT
Originally from Austin, Texas Dr. Papke finished his undergrad at Texas State University. He received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in May of 2019 from Texas State University also. Dr. Papke has always been interested in the human body and improving movement through exercise. "This is a field in which I can work with these areas and help people get back to what they love to do with less pain."
Dr. Alberto San Miguel, Clinical Director

Dr. San Miguel was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He completed his undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in History in 2011. He spent several years as a personal trainer with a focus on making strength and conditioning accessible to the general population.
Dr. Vanessa Oliva, Clinical Director
PT, DPT, COMT
Dr. Oliva moved to San Antonio from Aibonito, Puerto Rico in 2000. She attended The University of Texas at San Antonio where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from The University of Incarnate Word in 2015 representing the Inaugural class at the University. In 2017 she completed her certification in Orthopedic Manual Therapy through MTI.
Dr. Kendall Downing, Physical Therapist

Dr. Downing was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. She completed her undergraduate at Central Washington University with a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Physiology in 2016. She moved to Austin, TX to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in December 2020. She is currently working towards completing a three-year fellowship program for Orthopedics and Manual Therapy.
Dr. Jessica Nelson, Physical Therapist

Dr. Nelson was born and raised in Will Point, TX. She attended Tarleton State University for undergraduate studies and completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology. Dr. Nelson continued her education at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center where she earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Dr. Mark Saldaña, Physical Therapist

Dr. Saldaña was born and raised in Mission, Texas in the Rio Grande Valley. He attended Texas Tech University where he received his Bachelors in Exercise Sports Science in 2015. He then attended Texas Tech University Health Science Center where he received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2020.
Dr. Juan Ortiz, Physical Therapist

Dr. Ortiz was born and raised here in San Antonio and attended Schreiner University where he was a member of the men's tennis team. He graduated with his Bachelor's in Exercise Science and then went on to get his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of the Incarnate Word in 2022.

Dr. Estevan Mendiola, Physical Therapist

Dr. Mendiola is a San Antonio native. He attended St. Mary's University, pursuing a high-quality education and a basketball career. Though his basketball career was cut short due to significant knee injuries, his education continued with a focus on performance enhancement. He graduated with a major in Exercise and Sports Science and a minor in Biology. He then earned a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from UT Health San Antonio in May 2022, and is currently working towards completing a one-year program to become Certified in Orthopedic Manual Therapy.

Dr. Aimee Ruiz, Physical Therapist

Dr. Ruiz was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. She moved to San Antonio and completed her undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor in Kinesiology with a Concentration in Athletic Medicine. She then relocated to FL, where she earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2022. She is currently working towards completing a Certified Sports and Orthopedic Manual Therapist Certification.

Dr. Christian Esquivel, Physical Therapist

Dr. Esquivel was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He attended undergraduate school at The University of Texas at San Antonio where he received a B.S in Kinesiology. He then completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth. He is an avid gym goer, loves music, and often plays his guitar during his free time as well as finding great hikes to take his dog Dani on to get some great exercise and fresh air.

Dr. Alex Degelman, Physical Therapist

Dr. Degelman is a native Texan who grew up in Bryan, Texas where he spent his time playing soccer with various travel and tournament teams. His soccer career was cut short after a knee injury which introduced him to the world of physical therapy. His newfound love for sports rehab propelled him on a path which ultimately led him to receive a degree in Kinesiology from Texas A&M University with minors in Psychology and Sport Management. Following graduation, Dr. Degelman worked as a therapy tech and strength and conditioning specialist in College Station before attending the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio where he earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Dr. Jolynn Rodriguez, Physical Therapist

Dr. Rodriguez is from San Antonio, Texas, where she earned her Batchelor's degree from St. Mary's University. She then earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Texas Women's University of Houston in May of 2023. After going through physical therapy herself as a teenager, she realized how integral physical therapist are to the injury recovery process. Her own physical therapists inspired her to help others get back to doing what they love. "I couldn't imagine a better career where I could make such an impact by being someone's support system and stepping stone to getting them back to their life in a time of vulnerability and hardship." Dr. Rodriguez enjoys going to the movies and seeing the latest films, and is an avid concert goer. On the weekends she is always at the local markets trying to support small business when she can.
Dr. Nicole Popa, Physical Therapist

Dr. Popa is a proud San Antonio native where she was born and raised. She studied at the University of the Incarnate Word where she received her undergraduate degree. She went on to receive her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Texas Health Science Center here in San Antonio in May 2022.
Dr. Rita Cuvillier, Physical Therapist

Dr. Cuvillier was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. She completed her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M- San Antonio with a Bachelor of Exercise Science. She continued her education receiving her Doctorate at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in Austin, Texas. Early in Dr. Cuvillier's journey to becoming a physical therapist, she studied Pelvic Health Physical Therapy and learned to treat complex cases of pelvic health related issues.

Ryan Fulton is a PTA who has been practicing in The State of Texas for about two years. Ryan and his wife Chelsea, returned to San Antonio from Tennessee after a little more than a decade of military service in the 101st Airborne Division

Madison grew up in a small town called Greensburg, Kansas. She received an Associate of Arts degree at Barton Community College, and went on to receive her Associate of Science as a Physical Therapist Assistant at Washburn University in 2022
Brittany Day, Physical Therapist Assistant

Brittany was raised as a military brat moving between the United States and Europe until her family settled down in Cibolo, Texas in 2012. She finished high school and continued to attend San Antonio College receiving an associates degree in criminal justice in 2016 and then attended Concorde Career College for physical therapy assisting graduating with an associates of science in 2022.
