Justin Martindale, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS, FAAOMPTJustin Martindale, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS, FAAOMPT

Justin Martindale, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS, FAAOMPT, is founder, President, and CEO of Promotion Physical Therapy, P.C. Justin possesses over eight years of experience in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy, including the completion of his three year Fellowship in Orthopaedics, Manual Physical Therapy, and Strength & Conditioning. His proficiency and certifications set Dr. Martindale in an elite category of being one of less than 400 in the nation to have achieved such a status.

Dr. Martindale was born and raised in North Texas where he also graduated from Texas Tech University with a B.S. in Exercise and Sports Science. He continued his education at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio where he earned a B.S. in Health Care and then his Masters degree in Physical Therapy. Upon graduation, Dr. Martindale was accepted into a three-year Fellowship program for Orthopaedics and Manual Physical Therapy. While he was completing his fellowship, Dr. Martindale gained his board certification in Orthopaedics and nationally certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He successfully completed his fellowship and gained full Fellow status in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists. Dr. Martindale then completed his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from A.T. Still University.

Herbert Bairnsfather, Jr. PT, FAAOMPTHerbert Bairnsfather, Jr. PT, FAAOMPT

Herbert Bairnsfather, Jr. PT, FAAOMPT, is a full-time physical therapist at Promotion Physical Therapy, P.C. Mr. Bairnsfather was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. He attended the University of Incarnate Word where he obtained his B.A. in Health Sciences. Mr. Bairnsfather went to graduate school at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio where he earned a B.S. in Health Care and then his Masters degree in Physical Therapy. He is currently completing his three-year fellowship in Orthopaedics and Manual Physical Therapy to join Dr. Martindale as one of the few physical therapists in the state to behold these credentials.

Mr. Bairnsfather's passion for sports and the medical field combine perfect for his chosen profession. Herbie, as we all call him, loves sharing and utilizing his knowledge as a physical therapist to help patients heal and get back to living an active life. His loves in life are: his family, his profession, the New Orleans Saints, and the Boston Celtics.

Melissa DeMasco, PT, MPTMelissa DeMasco, PT, MPT

Melissa DeMasco, PT, MPT is a full-time therapist at Promotion Physical Therapy. Melissa was born and raised in Kerrville, Texas. She attended Texas Tech University where she played volleyball on scholarship from 1999-2002 and was honored Athlete of the Year in all sports for Texas Tech University. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Sports Science in 2004. Melissa later attended the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio acquiring a Masters degree in Physical Therapy. Mrs. DeMasco is currently completing her 3-year fellowship in Orthopaedics and Manual Physical Therapy through the Manual Therapy Institute. Melissa loves the relationships that she builds with her patients and seeing them get better and return to their active lifestyle. When not treating patients, Melissa loves attending high school sporting events that her husband is coaching and spending time with family and friends.

Erica Fulks Pearce, PT, MPTErica Fulks Pearce, PT, MPT

Erica Fulks Pearce, PT, MPT joined Promotion Physical Therapy in March 2009. Born and raised in San Antonio, Erica attended Southwest High School. She then headed north to the longhorn capital where she completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology in 2005 from the University of Texas at Austin. Erica then returned to her hometown where she attended the University of Texas Health Science Center acquiring a Masters in Physical Therapy. Mrs. Pearce is now in pursuit of her next career accomplishment, completing the Manual Therapy Institute Orthopaedic Fellowship Program in early 2010. Erica loves treating patients and finds great reward in improving their quality of life and aiding her patients in returning to their active lifestyle. She takes special pride in seeing the athletes she treats return to their sport in full capacity. In her free time, Erica enjoys running with her dog Cooper. She loves going to Texas country music concerts with friends. Erica cherishes every moment spent with her family and her husband, Casey.

Michelle Diaz, Vice President of AdministrationMichelle Diaz, Vice President of Administration

Michelle Diaz is Vice President of Administration for Promotion Physical Therapy. She is responsible for all Human Resource and Financial Operations for the company. Prior to her joining the Promotion Physical Therapy team, she holds an extensive background in home health and healthcare administration giving her an extensive understanding of the importance of customer service, employee relations, and patient care.

Melissa Martindale, Vice President of Public Relations

Melissa Martindale is Vice President of Public Relations for Promotion Physical Therapy, P.C. She is the newest member of the Promotion team helping us take this company to the forefront of our industry.

Melissa Escobedo, Director of Marketing and Business DevelopmentMelissa Escobedo, Director of Marketing and Business Development

Melissa Escobedo is Director of Marketing and Business Development. Ms. Escobedo possesses extensive experience in Business Development, Marketing, and Account Management. A native of San Antonio, she attended the University of Texas at San Antonio where she obtained her B.A. in Psychology with a Minor in Business. Her love for the health care industry and business world brought her to Promotion Physical Therapy.

Daniela Balderas, Billing SpecialistDaniela Balderas, Billing Specialist

Daniela joined the Promotion Physical Therapy team in October 2008. A native of Seguin, Texas, Daniela was the first full time employee in our billing department. She is responsible for all of the billing aspects for our Therapists and in assisting them with proper coding and submission. With her extensive background in customer service, Daniela takes pride in assisting our patient's with their questions and concerns that pertain to their insurance coverage. Prior to working with Promotion Physical Therapy, Daniela successfully completed her studies at The Academy of Healthcare Professions and is a Certified Billing and Coding Specialist. Ms. Balderas has two beautiful children and enjoys spending quality time with her family in Seguin.

Crisan Slaughter, Patient CoordinatorCrisanta Slaughter, Patient Coordinator

Crisan, as co-workers and patients know her, is another beautiful face that greets you at our front desk. She specializes in the coordination of all non-clinical aspects of the patient's care. Crisan is a native of San Antonio and served in the United States Marine Corps which provided her with an extensive background in customer service, teamwork, and business administration. Her passion for the medical field brought her to Promotion Physical Therapy. Outside of work, Crisan takes pleasure in spending time with her two amazing sons and being a coach for their sports teams. Crisan has been part of the Promotion Physical Therapy team since August 2008.
