What is Aquatic Therapy? Aquatic Therapy is essentially physical therapy in a pool. Utilizing aquatic therapy uses the resistance of water as opposed to weights. This allows the patient's body to float and perform physical therapy exercises easier without having to use free weights or a weight machine.
Patients who experience chronic illnesses, bodily injuries, or are recovering from an accident can benefit from aquatic therapy by removing the amount of pressure, stress, or weight placed on joints by physical therapy outside of the water.
All of our physical therapists at our Medical Center location are educated, experience, and qualified to oversee your rehabilitation using our aquatic pool. During an aquatic therapy session, Promotion Physical Therapy's doctors deliver constant attendance through a series of aquatic therapeutic exercises. These exercises are unique and designed to help with the success of your rehabilitation.
Our physical therapy center in the Medical Center is the only clinic outfitted with an aquatic pool. Please call (210) 478-5486 to schedule an appointment with a physical therapist to administer your aquatic therapy rehabilitation.
